What happens after you buy your digital twin, step by step
After you buy your digital twin, you create your account, the Legathum team opens your set-up with you and together you prepare the twin's three pieces: the roughly seven-minute recording, your verified consent and the brain with your materials and your Book of Criteria. The twin does not speak until the team has reviewed and approved it.

What happens straight after you pay?
Straight after you pay, your account is created and you receive an email to set your password. The link in that email is valid for seven days.
The purchase is an annual subscription. On the purchase page you give your name, your email and your company name and accept the terms; payment is taken by Stripe, in euros, and VAT is not included in the price: it is calculated at checkout based on your country and VAT number. There is no set-up fee.
With the account in place, your organisation has the twin's modules and the booking page open. What it does not have yet is a twin that speaks, because a twin does not build itself.
Why is the twin not ready immediately?
Because a twin is a real person copied with their permission, and that takes three things that cannot be fully automated: your recording, your consent and your judgement.
When you buy, the Legathum team is notified about your organisation and opens your set-up with you. From there, the sequence is the one in the table.
| Step | What you do | What the Legathum team does |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Account | Set your password and log in | Opens your twin's set-up |
| 2. Recording | Record about seven minutes following a four-part script | Checks the take works for the twin |
| 3. Consent | Confirm by email and record a video reading a sentence | Checks by hand that it is you, to prevent impersonation |
| 4. Brain | Provide your materials and review your rules in the Book of Criteria | Prepares the brain and supports you through the review |
| 5. Approval | Review what your twin knows in the Book of Criteria | Approves the twin by hand before it speaks to anyone |
| 6. Telling your clients | Explain on your website and bookings that they will talk to an AI | The twin also says so at the start of every conversation |
We do not give set-up timescales because they depend mainly on you: on when you record and how much time you give your Book of Criteria.
What is the recording like?
About seven minutes of landscape video, seated at a table, with soft light from the front and the microphone on. The script has four parts back to back: 30 seconds listening, at least five minutes speaking as in a meeting, 40 seconds of silent gestures and another 30 seconds listening.
The twin's face and voice both come from that one recording. It is worth doing two or three takes and uploading the best. You do not need to memorise anything or be perfect.
What consent is required, and why?
Verified consent: a link by email and a video of you reading a sentence. The team then checks by hand that the person in the video is you.
There are two reasons. The first is legal: in Spain, Organic Law 1/1982 protects the use of a person's voice and image for commercial purposes and requires their express consent, revocable at any time. The second is trust: Digital Twin by Legathum only clones real people who record themselves, and nobody can create a twin from a video of you without you.
Consent is revoked with one click. When you revoke it, the twin stops speaking immediately.
What do you need to provide for the brain?
Your materials and your judgement. The materials are what you already have: presentations of your method, template proposals, reports, answers to the questions you are asked most. The judgement is your decision rules, written in the Book of Criteria in plain language, each with its source.
Rules can arrive as candidates from your materials, but none counts until a person reviews and approves it. The Book works in versions: when it is ready, it is put into force with a note explaining what changes.
You do not need an AI subscription of your own: the twin's brain and voice run on the AI included in Legathum.
What can you prepare from day one?
Almost everything that depends on you. Find a quiet spot with window light and a table for the recording. Gather the materials that best explain how you work. List the ten questions your clients ask most and how you answer them.
And start writing your decision rules, even in a separate document: when you take on a project, what you ask first, what makes you change approach. The clearer your judgement is, the sooner your twin's brain will be ready.
What happens to your data?
Your data is yours, and Legathum processes it on your behalf. In GDPR terms, you are the controller of any client data that enters the platform and Legathum is the processor, with the obligations in Articles 28 and 32: processing it only for what you decide and protecting it with security measures appropriate to the risk.
The platform runs in Frankfurt. The brain belongs to you: today you can export your Book of Criteria as Markdown or YAML, and exporting the whole brain is in development.
When can your twin talk to clients?
Once the team has approved it and you have told your clients. The twin says it is an AI in its first turn and its name in the meeting ends in "Clon IA", in line with Article 50 of the EU AI Act, which requires people to know at the latest at the first interaction.
Before opening it up to clients, test it yourself: ask it the questions your clients ask you and check the Book of Criteria for any rules you find missing.
What if something does not convince you?
Tell the team supporting you. If it is the image or the voice, the fix is usually a new take. If it is what the twin knows or how it decides, it is corrected in the brain: a missing material or a rule to rewrite in the Book of Criteria.
And if you decide to stop, you revoke consent with one click and the twin stops speaking immediately.

- In development: your twin selling, booking, charging for and delivering your service on its own.
