Digital twin for coaches: support between sessions, with clear limits
A digital twin for coaches is an AI copy of the coach, with their face, their voice and a brain holding their method, their questions and their rules, built for the repetitive part of coaching and not to replace the session. Today the twin, the brain with its Book of Criteria and the AI notice exist; support for each client between sessions is what comes next.

What is a digital twin for coaches?
It is a version of the coach or mentor made with artificial intelligence: it has their face and their voice, and a brain of its own holding their method, the questions they use, the exercises they set and their rules about what a conversation covers and what it does not. Its job is to handle the part of coaching that repeats itself, always saying that it is an AI.
The short definition of Digital Twin by Legathum is this: a professional cloned with AI who serves clients and sells at any hour. In coaching, that does not mean the twin runs your sessions. It means that questions about how you work, a reminder of an exercise or an explanation of a tool from your method can be there when the client needs them, without taking up your diary.
Which part of coaching makes sense for the twin?
The part that does not depend on reading the person in the moment. A coaching session is worth what its listening is worth, along with the right question and the well-timed silence; that stays with you. What surrounds the session is a different matter.
| Situation | What makes sense for the twin | What stays with you |
|---|---|---|
| Someone wants to know whether your coaching suits them | Explaining your method, what a programme involves and who it is for | Deciding whether to take the client on |
| Between sessions | Reminding the client of the agreed exercise and how to do it | Judging how it went and what changes |
| Questions about a tool from your method | Explaining it with your materials | Adapting it to that person's situation |
| The client wants to share something important | Suggesting they bring it to the next session | The deeper conversation |
| Something health-related comes up | Not going into it and recommending a health professional | Deciding whether the coaching should continue |
Where is the line with health?
Outside coaching, and it is worth writing down. Coaching supports development, career or business goals; it does not assess or treat anyone's health. When something from that territory comes up in a conversation, the right response from a coach, and from their twin, is not to go into it and to recommend a health professional.
The GDPR backs this up from the data side. Article 9 treats data concerning health as a special category with stronger protection, and Article 5 asks you to process only the data needed for the purpose. For a coaching twin, the practical consequence is clear: do not ask about health, do not keep it if someone mentions it, and do not use it for anything.
What does the AI Act say if you coach inside companies?
Two things. The first applies to every client: they must know they are talking to an AI, at the latest at the first interaction, as Article 50 requires. In Digital Twin by Legathum, the twin says so in its first turn and its name in the meeting ends in "Clon IA".
The second matters if you coach a company's staff. Since 2 February 2025, Article 5(1)(f) has prohibited using AI systems to infer a person's emotions in the workplace, except for medical or safety reasons. A twin supporting a client's managers must not try to work out how they feel from their voice or face, or report on it to anyone.
What can you promise and what not?
You can describe your method, your experience and how you work. You cannot promise results that do not depend on you. In Spain, the Unfair Competition Act treats as misleading any information that can mislead people about the results they can expect from a service, and whatever your twin tells a prospective client is your business speaking.
Write it as a rule in your Book of Criteria: if someone asks whether your coaching will get them a promotion, a pay rise or another specific change, the twin explains how the process works and what depends on each side, without giving timescales or promising the outcome.
How do you prepare a coach's brain?
With your method written down and with your questions. Start with how you explain your approach in the first conversation, the stages of a programme, the tools you use and the exercises you set between sessions, each with its purpose and how it is done.
Then add your boundary rules to the Book of Criteria, each with its condition, its action, its reason and its source: which topics it always refers to a session with you, what it does if something health-related comes up, how it answers when asked to promise a result. A good coaching Book of Criteria usually has more rules about what is not done than about what is.
What exists today and what is in development?
Nothing that has not been checked is presented as available. This table separates the two for a coach.
| Feature | Status today |
|---|---|
| A twin with your face and your voice, from a recording of about seven minutes | Exists |
| Its own Master Brain, with a Book of Criteria of rules reviewed and approved by you, each with its source | Exists |
| Says it is an AI in its first turn, and its name ends in "Clon IA" | Exists |
| Real people only, with verified consent, revocable with one click | Exists |
| Booking page connected to your calendar | Exists |
| Coaching-specific workflows: support between sessions, exercises and progress reviews for each client | In development |
| Applying your rules in the conversation and saying which rule each answer comes from | In development |
Today consultancy is the profession the method and session types are designed for. A coach who works with companies is close to that profile.
What exists today and what comes next

- In development: coaching-specific workflows, with support between sessions, exercises and progress reviews for each client.
- In development: the twin applying your rules in the conversation and citing the rule behind each answer.
Frequently asked questions
Can a digital twin run coaching sessions?
It should not replace them. The session is yours; the twin handles what surrounds it: explaining your method, reminding clients of exercises and answering questions from your materials.
What does it do if a client mentions their health?
The right thing is not to go into it, to recommend a health professional and not to keep that information. It is worth writing this as a rule in your Book of Criteria.
Can it detect how my client feels?
It should not try. In the workplace, the EU AI Act has prohibited inferring emotions with AI since February 2025, except for medical or safety reasons.
Will my clients know they are talking to an AI?
Yes. The twin says so in its first turn and its name in the meeting ends in "Clon IA", as Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires.
Can I see it before I buy?
Yes. You can book a 15-minute meeting with Deibson Silva, who takes those meetings in person, and discuss how it would fit the way you work.
